World Shock about the worst US Tragedy ! What next ??
Consequences of a most insensible attack on human dignity
The entire world is shocked about what sick human brains are capable of doing in hateful suicide attacks against thousands of innocent civilians, world economy and public property. Questions must be asked about the value of life and freedom, if such incidents are possible. What can be done to guard democratic civilization from acts of madness ? How useless modern arms are against mad people on this planet; how hatred can be defused at its roots ?
This newsletter is dedicated to conclusions and recommendations how to protect lives, democracies and peaceful cultures on Earth. It is discussed how antiquated concepts of the past Century can and must be changed with emphasis on the utterly wrong freedom of arms ownership and the disastrous energy policy of the US, as criticized in our last newsletter.

On 11 September 2001 it was demonstrated again and with unprecedented intensity how vulnerable people and properties are in our era of modern technology, if such technology becomes the deadly instrument of obsessed men. It shows clearly that advanced technology and intelligence is absolutely useless if the problem of hatred is not defused at its roots.
The most frightening perspective of such destructive human acts are petroleum installations and hazardous power stations, which could cause a much larger damage than what was witnessed by the world on that black day in the USA. Imagine what would happen if nuclear power stations, refineries or oil platforms would be the targets of such mad attacks ! Quantify the economic damage caused by the petroleum price hike and stock crash after such disasters !
Conclusions: As long as arms are freely available and as long as some people are growing up in groups cultivating ethnical or religious hatred against other citizens, there will be many more such man-made disasters with unimaginable consequences to life and environment and as long as such vulnerable targets are built and exposed to insanity, there will be more such attacks.
Hence the concept of large cities with their inherent problems of drug abuse, crime and high-rise buildings becomes totally obsolete in the millennium of perfect telecommunications.
Even the most modern armies are helpless against such terrorism. A world consensus is urgently needed to save the democratic freedom in safety and prosperity on our planet.
Recommendations: Following lessons must be learnt from this historic catastrophe:
1 - Everything conceivable must be done to avoid such risks in future. Large power stations are as vulnerable as sky scrapers, not only to evil sabotage, but also to earth quakes, meteorites, falling man-made space structures and unpredictable weather disasters.
2 - The only safe energy sources are decentralized, renewable energy systems, which cannot cause a danger to life of the population at large. Enforce the Global Energy Charter !
3 - The only safe buildings are structures, which are not worthwhile targets to terrorists and can also withstand natural disasters. New international legislation is also needed here !
4 - All governments, the United Nations and Non-governmental organizations must reach out to the young to cultivate among them tolerance to other believes, nations and cultures.
The world community expects positive answers from all politicians and decision makers in all nations to above suggestions as soon as possible with courageous acts towards a safer world.
A world consensus is urgently needed to protect the safety
and happiness of humanity.
