World Outcry about the most insensible US Energy Policy !

Open Letter to George W. Bush and Dick Cheney

Now everybody in the world knows why US voters were cheated last November about their fundamental democratic right to elect the government they and the world want and need:

Despite a clear national majority for the candidate who is qualified to put the global environment into balance and keep the USA on a progressive, prosperous course, vote manipulations in Florida, tricks with obsolete voting systems and machinations to keep unwanted voters out of the voting rooms has put, with lots of dirty money, the dirtiest power lobby into the White House.

Why do you ignore the recommendations of thousands of scientists and responsible citizens to stop the madness of burning the finite fossil and fissile fuels ? Why do you ignore the interests of the chemical industry needing these mineral resources as a feedstock for centuries to come ?

Why do you want to release by all means all the carbon embedded in the Earth, which caused the steaming climate in prehistoric times. Do you really want a climate of hell on Earth again, where only a few living species could survive ? Where is your common sense to figure out this logic scenario ? The Kyoto protocol is a first step to avoid this horror scenario. Why do you sabotage world opinion and ignore warnings by competent scientists, who master this subject ?

Both of you have the wrong concept of blindness to world expert opinion, believing that a nation with the biggest war arsenal can dictate the rest of the world what obsolete energy systems have to be used. You cannot save the world by winning petroleum wars. You rather destroy it.

Why do you ignore the proven fact, that oceans are rising due to global warming, flooding the precious home land of millions of people ? Why do you ignore that man-made climate change caused already multi-billion damages by storms, inundations and avalanches never seen before in human history ? Why are you ignoring the growing deserts and the huge damages to marine life and tourist areas by oil spills – oil which can be easily replaced by abundant, economical, sustainable and clean energy sources ? Why are you ignoring intelligent US citizens, who have all the necessary clean, sustainable technologies to substitute hazardous energy technologies ?

Why are you ignoring the simple fact that energy efficiency measures can easily make the few percents of risky nuclear power superfluous and conserve millions of tons polluting fossil fuels ?

What makes you ignore the trend towards decentralized, clean electricity, heat and hydrogen fuel production as immediate solutions rather than polluting, risky thermal power plants ?

Why are you preaching Texan style oil and Uranium wastage, while the US and world mineral resource reserves passed already the depletion midpoint, while the majority of world population is getting sick from pollution and still living with a small fraction of your energy consumption ?

We wish that many more Republican Senators, Congressmen and Congresswomen will see the truth about your dishonest, obsolete policies and technologies you are trying to proliferate against people’s will and change to a more progressive political party, as witnessed these days !

This is not only the wish of the majority of the US citizens, but also the hope of the majority of the rest of the thinking world population, who want to save our blue planet for our descendants.

Stop dictating your short sighted energy policy to people who want to survive on our planet. The nuclear and petroleum era is over ! We live now in the third Millennium with intelligent, clean, sustainable technologies, an era which cannot be manipulated by destructive political games any more, as was too often the case during the last Millennium. We now live in the age of global human intelligence. You better gear up to it in Washington, before it is too late !

The world is expecting your positive answers soon with acts towards a sustainable, clean US economy as a good example to developing nations. There is not much time to waste !
